The Weather Outside is Frightful

For our second Snow Day Challenge of the 16/17 school year, we're going to have to plan inside activities. Blowing snow, changing quickly to sleet and rain with high winds, limits our outdoor time. Stay safe inside while completing your list of challenges. Don't forget to share pictures of your challenges by posting on the blog, Tweeting out using the #1PHASD hasgtag, or posting to the Port Huron Schools Facebook page.

Challenge #1:

Make a plan to change the world. Get inspired by Kid President and share how you plan to change the world, one small act at a time.

Challenge #2:

Make, or help an adult make, your lunch. Don't forget to consider your food groups. The Food Network has a special page for recipes for kids. Bonus if it's an original creation! Be sure to send a pic.

Challenge #3:

Read. This should be your choice, not a school assignment! Elementary students, strive for at least 15 uninterrupted minutes. Middle School, at least half an hour. High school, bonus if you can pull off an hour! Share with us what you're reading. Reading to someone else counts!

Challenge 4:

What song do you listen to when celebrating a day off school? Crank it up and dance around the house. Then share it with the rest of us so we can celebrate and dance.
